Sawfish Software’s sponsorship of the Amateur Jockeys Association (AJA) has allowed an exciting finale to the lady jockeys’ flat season.
With financial sponsorship from the York based software-developer, the AJA has just announced an additional programme of four events, extending the flat season through September and October.
The additional ladies’ races will take place at:
Sarah Oliver, of the Amateur Jockey’s Association of Great Britain, said: “This sponsorship is excellent news for all lady amateur flat jockeys as the calendar previously ran out of steam in August. The additional mini-series incorporates a new finale on Halloween in Nottingham where we are looking forward to crowning the 2007 champion.”
Steve Hull, chief executive of Sawfish Software, said: “As a passionate supporter of horse-racing, I am glad that the sponsorship enables the Amateur Jockeys Association of Great Britain to extend the ladies’ season. This not only gives the riders more opportunities to compete and progress, but gives the many keen spectators like me more chances to support some of the fine amateur female jockeys this country is producing.”
