York-based technology firm, Sawfish Software, has won a hat-trick of new contracts from specialist manufacturing companies.

T W Ward CNC Machinery Ltd, Walsall Ltd and Waterfront Manufacturing will use Sawfish’s dedicated business software to improve their management of sales and client transactions.

SalesFlow is a hosted system, accessed via the internet, and enables authorised users to process data wherever they are located. It works on one database to ensure that managers always have an up-to-date view of sales progress.

Sheffield-based T W Ward CNC Machinery specialises in the supply and support of Computer Numerical Controlled (CNC) metalworking machine tools. The company has an established new and used machine division, which holds a comprehensive range of CNC machine tools manufactured by some of the world's leading machine tool companies.

Formed in 1999 by Alan Jenkinson, Waterfront Manufacturing supplies a diverse range of uniforms and clothing to the corporate market. In 2004, the East Harling-based company won the QMS Gold Award for customer satisfaction.

West Bromwich-based Walsall Ltd designs and manufactures explosion-protected electrical equipment for companies all around the world. The company, which has not yet installed SalesFlow, has worked with blue-chip clients including Shell, BP and Chevron.

With particular expertise in the manufacturing and financial services sectors, Sawfish Software was founded in 2004 by managing director, Steve Hull, who has more than 25 years’ experience in the software and customer relationship management sectors. Previously he founded Online Group Holdings plc, which provides business operations solutions for the drinks industry, before he sold it to Alphameric plc in 2000.

Steve Hull said: "The manufacturing industry contains some marvellous success stories and many companies are improving their performance by utilising the latest advances in technology. We are thrilled that T W Ward, Walsall and Waterfront Manufacturing have chosen to use SalesFlow, which can be tailored to suit manufacturers in a range of sectors."

Simon Whitworth, managing director of T W Ward, said: "We have invested in SalesFlow to streamline our existing business processes and give us greater visibility over management activities. We are confident that, the solution will achieve this and in doing so, allow us to strengthen our market position and enable us to become even more profitable."
