tecan achieve same day turn-around on quotations

Weymouth-based precision parts manufacturer, Tecan, can now offer same day turn-around on quotations after introducing Sawfish Software’s SalesFlow technology to the business.

Tecan introduced the York-based software company’s technology in the summer of 2005 after searching for a CRM solution to improve service, develop sales potential and improve the efficiency of communication channels across the business.

Currently more than 40 Tecan employees, including the sales team and the chairman, use the system across the company’s UK and USA offices.

SalesFlow is a hosted system, accessed via the internet, and enables authorised users to process data wherever they are located. It works on one database to ensure that managers always have an up-to-date view of sales progress.

Tecan is a leading manufacturer of customised precision parts. Its range of innovative, photolithography-based technologies enables the highly accurate, burr and stress-free production of precision parts for a diverse range of industries and applications all over the world.

Sawfish was founded in 2004 by managing director, Steve Hull, who has more than 25 years’ experience in the software and customer relationship management sectors. Previously he founded Online Group Holdings plc, which provides business operations solutions for the drinks industry, before selling it to Alphameric plc in 2000.
