Hosting plays a vital role in the technology infrastructure of Sawfish’s business as customers need to be able to access their software solutions 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

Fast and reliable hosting ensures that any company is properly represented on the Internet. Nasstar has been hosting web sites since the early days of the Internet and offers a full range of hosting products from start up hosting packages to clustered dedicated servers.

The hosting networks are located within state-of-the-art data centres owned by Level (3) Communications Inc. and Globix providing the fastest and most reliable internet connectivity possible. Leading suppliers of hardware such as Dell, Sun Microsystems and Cisco Systems are used to power the network.

The servers have Gigabit Ethernet connection to the Internet and are stored behind a CISCO Firewall, Intruder Detections Systems & VPN connected to an Uninterrupted power supply (UPS) with 24 hour generator backup.

The data centre is a particularly secure location (swipe card and PIN number required to access the facility, plus CCTV monitoring all locations of the data centre) which has all the environmental controls (Air Conditioning & localised fire control) you would expect.
